Canine Good Citizen

At Salisbury NC Kennel Club, our mission is to provide the best training and socialization for dogs of all ages. In this course, we work on 10 major life skills that all dogs should learn to be amazing citizens and harness the foundations needed to grow with our world.

Turn stressful care into teamwork. This class teaches your dog to calmly accept handling like nail trims and exams using positive, trust-building techniques - making routine care easier for both of you.

Introduction to Exteriors and Vehicles

Pre-requisite is an Introduction to Nose Work course from any instructor. This course develops a dog's ability to navigate findings hides in exterior environments and around vehicles, building confidence in their ability to search anywhere.

Take your scent work skills to the next level in this class - the third step in our series. You and your dog will begin working with target odors, building clear recognition, stronger search skills, and growing independence in a fun, rewarding environment. Pre-req: Intro to NW and Ext/Veh.


Dates: Thursdays, May 21-June 25

Time: 7-8pm

Take your dog's manners to the next level! This class builds on basic skills with real-world distractions, improved reliability, and more advanced behaviors to create a confident, well-mannered dog you can take anywhere. Leads to CGCA.

Build teamwork and precision in this class. You and your dog will practice navigating signs, improving focus, communication and smooth performance - perfect for those looking to sharpen skills and prepare for competition. Pre-req: Basic commands and an idea of what rally is.

Polish your skills at our drop-in handling sessions. Perfect for all levels, these flexible classes give you and your dog a chance to practice ring skills, improve timing and presentation, and get helpful feedback in a relaxed, supportive environment.
